Release changelog

Context Pack 1.3.0 — Released

Context Pack 1.3.0 adds HTML table capture, Quick Copy and local link extraction without new permissions. Note date: October 2, 2026.

Capture one HTML table

  • Choose Capture table in the popup or workspace. Multiple tables get a chooser; one table opens directly in review.
  • Or highlight ordinary cell text inside one main-page HTML table and right-click Capture selected table. Review contains only that whole sanitized outer table, not just highlighted cells, without choosing it again. No special word is required; dropdown option changes are not page-text selection. The popup explains this route. Invalid selections are rejected rather than guessed. Non-matching frame URLs such as about:srcdoc offer no action or workspace guidance; received unsupported editable/iframe events show guidance without reading content or changing pending work. Capture selected text is unchanged.
  • Inspect and edit the selected table's Markdown, use read-only Preview, then Copy Markdown or Add to pack as one Table source.
  • Supported grids retain headers, rows, empty cells and safe text links in cells. Images, their alt text and image-only links are omitted, not downloaded; review Markdown and removal warnings before sharing.
  • Unambiguous rowspan/colspan grids repeat merged content with a warning; nested, headerless or other complex layouts fall back to explicit row/cell text when a grid would misrepresent them.
  • Each table keeps its edited draft while switching, including empty drafts. Add and Copy remain unavailable until a draft is valid; repairing it restores those actions.
  • Discovery rejects more than 20 eligible tables. Direct selected-table capture targets one even when the page has more; both enforce DOM/range limits and 500,000 combined capture UTF-16 code units, without silent truncation.
  • No PDF-table reconstruction, virtualized-grid capture, table shortcut, point-without-selection picker or CSV/XLSX export.

Quick Copy before Add or Build

  • Page, selection, table and link review offer Markdown / Preview and Copy Markdown. Direct-PDF review is unchanged.
  • Review and edit, then copy the exact current Markdown without retaining a source or building a pack. Copy leaves review open.
  • Preview shows the current draft, not the original website; HTML remains text and images are not loaded. Preview never rewrites exports.
  • Copy and Cancel preserve earlier sources and built output. Standalone review/Copy work at the 10-source cap; Add still enforces retained-pack limits.
  • Clipboard failure gives manual-copy guidance. The operating system may retain copied text after the workspace closes or adapt line endings.
  • Highlight a visible main-frame region or clear selection for visible page links, then choose Extract links.
  • Filter by text/URL keyword, All/Internal/External origin and duplicate URLs, then Apply filters. Replacing an edited draft needs confirmation.
  • Copy URLs parses the current edited Markdown, not a stale original list. It exports unique sanitized HTTP/HTTPS destinations in document order, with table headers before rows and cells left-to-right; images, code and raw HTML are excluded.
  • Copy Markdown exports the draft exactly. Add to pack retains one Links source, not one source per link.
  • More than 1,000 inspected anchors or 500,000 capture code units is rejected. No crawling, linked-page requests or Batch URL import.
  • Hidden, editable and form-input regions are excluded. Visible labels and some content-link query parameters may still be private: review before sharing, not automatic PII redaction.

Capture reliability and unchanged boundaries

  • The context-menu path refuses unsupported iframe selections instead of reading unrelated main-frame text.
  • Table block-content fallback, empty cells and multiple tables in a selection have regression coverage. Highlighted code keeps indentation and fenced-block boundaries; this is not a claim of universal website fidelity.
  • Row headers, late/multiple headers and ambiguous table scope use explicit row/cell fallback with a warning, without exporting non-visible attributes as raw HTML. Valid captioned grids retain their column headers.
  • Literal pipe characters in supported table cells keep the original columns and visible text, inline code and links in Markdown and Preview.
  • Inline code containing a backslash immediately before a pipe uses warned row/cell fallback, preserving every literal backslash, pipe and code boundary through Preview, Copy and Download.
  • Preview preserves escaped literal link labels and code instead of reparsing label text as nested links. Copy URLs uses the same corrected local tokenization and omits label-only destinations; raw Markdown exports remain unchanged.
  • Context-menu registration waits for Chrome's creation callbacks, reports failures without page data and attempts to remove partial menus. Reload the extension to retry a failed registration.
  • Failed direct-PDF captures stop their source request, including early status, media-type or declared-size rejection; the earlier pack remains intact.
  • Same two-column workspace, explicit review-before-add, 10-source pack, local PDF/DOCX/Markdown/text inputs and existing file/output caps.
  • Same activeTab, contextMenus and scripting permissions; no new persistent host access, content storage, accounts or tracking.
  • Table/link capture, filters, URL parsing and Preview make no source requests. The explicit current-tab direct HTTPS PDF exception is unchanged.
  • Closing or reloading still discards the editable session; copy/download first. Only the non-content guide-completed preference persists.
