AIBlock stores settings in your browser and adds lightweight guardrails for responsible AI use. Core protection is free for individuals.
Local Page Processing
AIBlock locally inspects supported interface metadata and selected visible interface text to identify the AI surfaces and guardrails you enable. This processing happens in the browser. AIBlock does not transmit, retain, sell, or share inspected website content.
Gemini version scope: In 1.1.0, Gemini cleanup checks visible text in links and buttons for plan-name matches; those checks can also encounter such text inside conversations. In 1.1.1, cleanup uses verified interface markers and protects conversation and input regions instead. Neither version transmits or retains this inspected text. Read the 1.1.1 release status.
For Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and Drive cleanup, AIBlock does not read document text, spreadsheet cells, presentation content, form questions or responses, Drive file names, or file contents. Detection is limited to supported interface metadata such as accessibility labels, roles, tooltip attributes, stable product markers, and route information.

Local Storage
AIBlock may store only protection status, individual guardrail and cleanup choices, basic extension settings, and Search Protection's latest check time and hidden-surface status counts without query text, URL, or page content. AI Pause and AI Site Warning dismissal state stays in memory for the current page session only.
Site Access
AIBlock uses exact host access declared in its manifest to run only the features selected for supported sites. Access to docs.google.com covers Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms; access to drive.google.com covers Drive. Chrome's Site access controls can later restrict either host, in which case the related cleanup cannot run there.
