AIBlock 1.1.1: settings and cleanup reliability.

AIBlock 1.1.1 is available on the Chrome Web Store. This maintenance update improves settings, cleanup, and keyboard focus without adding permissions.

This patch focuses on more reliable settings, safer cleanup around ordinary and editable content, and keyboard focus during AI Pause. It adds no new permissions or supported products.

Changelog

What changed in 1.1.1

  • Settings sync: Popup, Settings, and Onboarding stay in sync when a setting changes. Saving one setting no longer overwrites unrelated choices.
  • Explicit master control: Deselecting every feature leaves the master switch unchanged; no guardrail runs until a feature is enabled. Turning the master off keeps individual choices saved.
  • Safer Gemini cleanup: Match verified interface markers instead of plan names in chat text. Preserve chat and input regions, and restore elements that no longer match.
  • Workspace safeguards: Protect ordinary content and editable regions in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and Drive. Improve cleanup of a verified English-language Drive selection action labeled "Ask Gemini".
  • Late-loading surfaces: Keep Search and Gemini cleanup responsive when supported AI surfaces appear later on the page.
  • AI Pause keyboard focus: Keep keyboard focus inside the pause dialog and restore it when the dialog closes or protection is disabled.
  • No new permissions: Host access, local-only processing, and free core protections are unchanged.

Coverage stays selective

Coverage depends on Google's interface, account, language, plan, and rollout. An AI surface may not appear on every account. AIBlock hides selected supported surfaces; it does not disable AI services or remove every AI feature.

This patch does not add Gmail or YouTube cleanup, and does not claim Drive file-preview cleanup.
