The day my child learned to stand, AIBlock took its first step.

Today, my little one started practicing how to stand.

Still wobbly and holding onto everything nearby, my child was curious and brave enough to try standing on those tiny feet. Watching that small new skill take shape reminded me that I am learning too: learning how to grow into a more responsible father, one day at a time.

My child may grow up in a world very different from mine.

AI will likely be part of how this generation learns, works, creates, and understands the world. Perhaps it will never become anything as frightening as Skynet from The Terminator. Still, as a father, I want to do something that may help my child use AI without losing the ability to think independently, ask questions, and verify what appears on a screen.

I did not know where to begin.

A small project cannot solve the future of AI. I cannot protect my family from every challenge the next few decades may bring. So I decided to begin with something I could build today: a browser extension.

AIBlock is not against AI, and it does not try to make decisions for anyone. It simply creates a few small pauses: hiding selected AI shortcuts in search, encouraging people to read sources, check important information, and think before accepting a finished answer.

Version 1.0.0 is small. It is certainly not perfect, and it still has a great deal to learn, just like the person building it.

But every journey needs a first step.

Today, my child practiced standing. I practiced becoming a more thoughtful father. And AIBlock took its first small step into the world.
